Description
      Nymphaeae rubra Roxb.ex Andrews is a wild aquatic plant, is frequently seen cultivation in home ponds . the flowers of the plant are used for ornament purposed, while rhizomes, young leaves and peduncle are used as food and vegetable. the proximate nutrient content of various parts of the plant has been determined and found to be quite high. the maximum amount of protein was recordedas23,88% of total dry weight. This Nymphaeae rubra plant has round and wide leaves, reddish in color and pink flowers with long stems. This Nymphaeae rubra flower can usually be seen in calm waters. Growing from stems and rhizomes (rhizomes) that are in the mud at the bottom of the water. The leaves have a round or oval shape and in the middle there is a stem. And these leaves have no wax content. The diameter of the flower ranges from 5-10 cm. The flowers are found on the stem, which comes from the extension of the rhizome. Lotus has many types, there are approximately 50 species. All of these species grow in tropical to subtropical regions throughout the world.
